Pit3D develops personalized external breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomy following breast cancer treatment. Its solution combines 3D body scanning, digital design and additive manufacturing to produce prostheses adapted to each patient's anatomy, addressing limitations of conventional products related to symmetry, comfort, weight and fit. Developed within the Parc Taulí innovation ecosystem, the project applies personalized medical-device manufacturing to improve body image, comfort and quality of life for post-mastectomy patients.
